FAQS

Do I need previous rugby experience?

No. We are an inclusive team and that includes being inclusive of all levels of rugby ability. We welcome new players who have zero experience of playing rugby through to those that already play at a high level.

What should I bring to training?

The only requirements for training is a pair of suitable footwear (preferably rugby or football boots), suitable clothing for the weather conditions and plenty of water to keep hydrated during sessions.

For contact sessions we would encourage you to bring your mouthguard in order to participate.

Where do you train?

Training sessions take place at Woodside Sports Complex at Station Road in Aberdeen. The pitches are equipped with floodlights for the darker evenings and have excellent transport links from the city centre.

How often do you train?

We train once a week (on Monday evenings), but we host extra skills sessions selected Sunday mornings. We don’t have a minimum attendance requirement but those who train more regularly will better develop as a player and find themselves in a better position when it comes to selection for fixtures.

What is an inclusive club?

For us being inclusive means breaking down some barriers that exist for some people who ordinarily might not get involved in rugby for whatever that reason might be.

Whilst our players are predominantly LGBT+ we also have straight players who are just as much part of the team. Sexual orientation is not a barrier – we welcome anyone regardless of how they might identify.

Do you offer free trials?

Yes. All new players can come along to 4 FREE training sessions before you have to commit to joining as a member of the club.

Do you have an age limit?

All players must be over the age of 18 when they join, however we don’t have an upper limit. As long as you’re physically able to play then you’re welcome to join us.
